PULL the Pin
Hold the extinguisher upright. Pull the steel safety pin located at the top handle to break the tamper-evident plastic inspection seal.
AIM at the Base
Stand 6 to 8 feet back. Aim the discharge nozzle or flexible reinforced hose directly at the base of the fuel, never at the rising flames.
SQUEEZE Lever
Depress the upper operating lever with steady, firm pressure to open the internal valve and discharge the pressurized agent.
SWEEP Side to Side
Move the nozzle slowly from side to side in a wide sweeping motion across the fire bed until the fuel is fully smothered and flames cease.
